The President Has A Solution To Abolish Evil. He has formed a committee. You heard me right. President Obama formed a committee to end evil. Mr Obama’s so called atrocities board is revealing about the man who formed it. Better , he thinks to delegate the elimination of evil to a committee which talks together in order to gain consensus to receive UN approval rather than exert American leadership as the world’s only remaining super power. Another version of “leading from behind” except this effort allows the president to hide behind the skirt of state department types rather than exercising the rather extensive political will that has emanated from the Oval Office for well over a century. The last time such a scheme was cooked up it was 1928 and America was soon engulfed in world war .

A map of new legislative districts for Arizona to use in elections in the coming decade has cleared a federal review for compliance with the Voting Rights Act. A Justice Department official’s letter sent Thursday to lawyers for the state’s redistricting commission says the department does not have any objections to the map. Barring any successful legal challenges, that means the new districts can be used in elections starting with this fall’s primary and general elections.
The commission approved the new map in January. It redraws the state’s 30 legislative districts. The Justice Department similarly cleared the commission’s map of new congressional districts earlier this month. azredistricting.org.

Kyl-Boycotts-Ariz-Immigration-Law-Hearing
Eighty-One Republican Members Of Congress, Including Arizona Rep. Trent Franks, Rep. Lamar Smith (Texas) and Rep. Steve King (Iowa), have filed a friend-of-the-court brief supporting the Arizona law and calling Obama’s argument that it preempts federal law “without merit.” Almost 70 Democratic members have filed another brief arguing just the opposite. The case is the second time this year that the Supreme Court has waded into a hot-button political issue. The court heard arguments last month on the president’s healthcare reform law, and is expected to issue a ruling this summer that could be a game-changer for the general election. – Shari Farrington – Congressman Trent Franks
