Earth to Arizona mainstream media: patriots are already piercing sparks of bright light through your media blackout.

“Media censorship in Arizona has now become quite blatant.  Can Canada Free Press help,” patriot Annette McHugh writes CFP this morning.  “Not only do the anti-SB1070 protesters get more media coverage than the pro-SB1070 supporters, but now there is blatant, unconstitutional censorship occurring in Arizona of media attempts to silence Conservative voices, activities, rallies, press releases and press conferences of Arizona Tea Parties!”

It seems that silence is not golden but deafening in Senator John McCain country.

“We’re asking for all Tea Party members, those who identify with the foundational principles of the Tea Party Movement, as well as individuals from every political party and ideology who value the First Amendment rights which apply to EVERYONE, to take quick action to bring this atrocity to the attention of our National news media,” writes McHugh.  “Our attempts for local media acknowledgement and response has gone ignored repeatedly!  No matter which political candidate you support, no matter which political party you most identify with, we all agree that First Amendment rights apply to every individual—EVEN CONSERVATIVES!  Please contact, email, call every media organization in your state, even outside the U.S. to send this message quite loudly.  WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED!”

Despite remarks, Calderón an ally on border issues

Even for opponents of Senate Bill 1070, the sight of the president of Mexico standing before a cheering Congress, encouraged and supported by our own U.S. president, condemning Arizona for passing a law he clearly has misread, was breath-taking.

As if we needed one, here’s another item showing bias in the way the mainstream media covers the controversial Arizona illegal immigration law. Many major news organizations, including, MSNBC, CNN, and USA Today for example, covered a story about a group of Police Chiefs who met with A.G. Eric Holder to register their objections to the Arizona law.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder met with about a dozen police chiefs today, including the top cops from Phoenix, Los Angeles and Houston, to discuss Arizona’s strict new immigration law.

The police chiefs told the attorney general the new law threatens to “drive a wedge” between their communities and law enforcement, according to the Associated Press. Police chiefs from Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Salt Like City and San Jose, Calif. will also attended today’s meeting with Holder.

NPR reports that the chiefs told Holder that having to determine whether a person is in the United States illegally will break down the trust that police have built in communities.

If that happens, “we will be unable to do our jobs,” said Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck. “Laws like this will actually increase crime, not decrease crime.

The Wall Street Journal quotes Tucson police chief Roberto Villaseñor as saying the Arizona law:

The best war journalist of our time has been kicked out of Afghanistan and the media could not care less.

Let the administration boot Helen Thomas out of her seat in the front of a White House press conference and there would be outrage. Remove Jonathan Karl from the Capitol and media would revolt. Kick Andrea Kremer off Sunday Night Football and there would be pandemonium.

And yet nobody in the media seems to have much of a problem with Michael Yon being removed from the front lines by Obama/General McChrystal. Yon has openly stated the problems in Afghanistan right now and how we could lose this war, unless changes are made. He has been critical of the current rules of engagement that have put our troops in danger and could actually make this war like the Vietnam that the leftist media claimed it was early and often when Bush was president (it’s strange you don’t hear those comparisons from them anymore).

The Tea Party movement launched one year ago, in response to the unprecedented expansion of government by President Barack Obama and congressional liberals, a massive increase in spending that will create economy-crushing fiscal burdens for future generations of taxpayers.

In that relatively brief period, the Tea Party has demonstrated it is a formidable political force. The pressure the movement brought to bear at the grassroots level put liberals on the defensive for much of the health care debate, and nearly succeeded in torpedoing the entire scheme in spite of Democrats’ overwhelming congressional majorities. And Tea Party activists proved decisive in a string of electoral defeats for liberals, culminating in Republican Scott Brown’s victory in the special election to succeed Ted Kennedy in the U.S. Senate.

So how have the supposedly objective media covered one of the biggest political stories in recent years? MRC analysts reviewed every mention of the Tea Party on the ABC, CBS and NBC morning and evening newscasts, Sunday talk shows, and ABC’s Nightline from February 19, 2009 (when CNBC contributor Rick Santelli first suggested throwing a “Tea Party” to protest government takeovers) through March 31, 2010. Among the major findings:

The networks first attempted to dismiss the Tea Party movement:
